As well as touring the country with his sell out Live Show ‘The Hall’ (further show dates for 2009 will be announced on the ‘Gigs’ section of this website), Pat is currently involved in the following projects: ‘Mattie’ - NEW PILOT PROGRAMME STARRING PAT SHORTT FOR RTE Pat is currently filming a new pilot programme called ‘Mattie’; a detective series centred on the often hapless Detective Mattie Gorman played by Pat Shortt. We follow Mattie’s encounters as he gets posted from his rural garda station into a city environment where a whole new collection of events and colleagues await him. This new pilot programme is produced for RTE by Gable End Media, Pat Shortt’s production company. The pilot will be filmed in the first week of June in Limerick city and county and will be screened on RTE at the end of the year. ‘JESUS CHRIST, SUPERSTAR – THE MUSICAL’ Pat will also play the part of ‘Herod’ in the ‘Jesus Christ, Superstar’ RTE concert orchestra performance of this musical stage play in October 2009.
